(The New Nation)--Oman skipper Adnan hammered a record 199 to help his side finish with a huge 141-run victory over Malaysia in the Under-17 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament at Jahangirnagar University ground on Tuesday.


Oman piled up 330 runs for eight in stiplated 45 overs after deciding to bat first.


Adnan hit an unbeaten 199 off 130 balls with 29 fours and three sixes while Kashmir contributed 60 off 53 balls with 12 fours and a six. He was later adjudged man of the match.


Sohan Kumar was the most successful bowler for Malaysia capturing three wickets for 61 runs.


In reply, Malaysia finished their 45 overs quota making 189 runs for 7 wickets. Mohammed Shukri added 41 runs hitting five boundaries.


Thomas captured two wickets for 30 runs.


At the BKSP ground-1, an all-round performance by Aziz Mathew helped Kuwait taste the first win in the juvenile tournament beating Singapore by four wickets.


Aziz captured three wickets for 40 runs and later contributed an unbeaten 51 off 73 deliveries to become man of the match.


Deciding to bat first, Singapore scored 175 runs for nine in fixed 45 overs while in reply Kuwait reached the target making 178 runs for six in 30.2 overs.
